Thank you for your interest in applying for the Piedmont AmeriCorps Program! We're currently seeking 17 part-time AmeriCorps members to serve as Financial Stability Navigators in our program. The earliest start date is August 17, 2020.  We will accept applications until September 18, 2020 or until all positions are filled for the 2020-21 service year. We look forward to hearing from you! AmeriCorps Application Process
All steps must be completed to serve in the Piedmont AmeriCorps Program.

Step 1: RESEARCH
  • ​​Carefully review our 2020-21 service opportunities​, including the primary responsibilities and minimum requirements, to determine if you are interested in serving in our program.
  • Browse the websites for United Way of the Piedmont and each of the service sites to learn more about our community and opportunities.
  • Visit the Corporation for National and Community Service website and the United Way Association of SC website to learn about AmeriCorps across the nation and state.

Step 2: APPLICATION
  • To start the application process, complete the Piedmont AmeriCorps application by July 20, 2020. You will input your general information, skills and experience, and why you are interested in the program. Please click here for the online application. If you prefer to fill out a paper copy of the application, you can click here to download and print the application.
  • Once you have submitted the application, you will be contacted within 48 business hours regarding your application.

Step 3: INTERVIEW
  • Candidates deemed a strong fit for the Piedmont AmeriCorps Program based on the application will be invited for a phone interview with the director of the Piedmont AmeriCorps Program. These interviews will last about 30 minutes and will provide an opportunity for candidates to share more information about themselves and their interests, as well as to ask questions about serving as an AmeriCorps member.
  • Following the phone interview, you may be asked to participate in additional in-person interviews with service site supervisors. 

Step 4: SELECTION
  • Service site supervisors make final selection decisions based on the application, phone interview notes, and in-person interview. 
  • If you are offered a position, you will have 48 hours to accept or decline the offer.
